President

As the founder and President of American Senior Financial, I feel privileged to be entrusted with the responsibility of serving our aging population. Since 1998, I have been a licensed professional providing financial services to seniors. It is extremely rewarding to help our clients attain their financial goals, while making sure that their hard earned life savings not be lost due to a catastrophic illness. I am proud to have built a team who strives to ensure that our services provide peace of mind for both our clients and their families. I come from a very large family, as my mother has 15 siblings; providing me with 55 wonderful first cousins. Unfortunately, we have experienced our own family member requiring care, so I understand that the need for long-term care can be emotionally and financially draining, even on the largest of families. While not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and look forward to each opportunity that I am able to share with my better half and our 4 beautiful daughters. I also appreciate time spent gardening and visiting the beach.

eugene Valdes

Operations Manager

I was born in Heidelberg, Germany, as my father was stationed in Munich with the US Army, but I moved to Florida when I was young and have been a Florida boy ever since. My first job was within the family business where I worked as a swimming pool contractor. After working with my family for years, it came to no one’s surprise when I decided to begin my own swimming pool enterprise. As a business owner, I worked closely with the public for 25 years and learned that focusing on my clients’ needs and goals developed a steadfast foundation for building lasting relationships.  Now the Operations Manager at American Senior Financial, I feel fortunate that I am able to build those same genuine relationships with each of our clients. I enjoy helping others and am delighted when our clients feel that they can finally relax and leave their Medicaid worries with us. Whether I am resolving an issue, answering a question or soothing concerns I have the deepest respect for our clients and feel honored to work with each of them. Apart from my professional pursuits, I enjoy spending time with my family, relaxing at the beach, fishing and working on outdoor living projects. 

Tina Valdes

Senior Case Processor

Born a military brat, I landed myself in central Florida alongside my family and have resided here for over 35 years. I am one of 5 siblings and have 3 daughters of my own. I am family driven and love every waking moment I have to spend with my grand kids and loved ones. I found my niche in life helping others, and American Senior Financial has made that passion into a career for me. As a Senior Case Processor, I work with our clients by focusing on their individual needs and goals to obtain Medicaid. I also serve as a liaison between our clients and the Department of Children and Families. I joined the American Senior Financial team in 2007 and will be here for many years to come.

Tammy Bradley

Senior Intake Specialist

I have provided customer service in the financial industry for over 20 years here in Florida and have been with the American Senior Financial team since 2013. As a Senior Intake Specialist, I assist new clients through the initial phase of the Medicaid Long Term Care Intake process.  I really enjoy getting to know each client while guiding them through the various barriers & challenges they are encountering. Often, I feel a sense of accomplishment helping a family through what can often be a very difficult time.  In addition to my position at American Senior Financial, I am a devoted mother of 2 boys and I appreciate time spent with my family and friends. I also enjoy cooking, crafting, gardening and being outdoors.

Deborah Johnston

Senior Case Processor

A New England native, I was born and raised in Connecticut.  After marrying my husband, we moved to the Sunshine State.  I have worked in social services with all ages and abilities for many years.  While taking some time at home with our 3 children, I had part time roles in church ministry opportunities.  I have several years of experience as a Medicaid Specialist in the Medicaid Long Term Care program joining the American Senior Financial team in 2016.  I enjoy being a part of a team that takes pride in working together to best assist each client.  I understand the stress and toll that admitting a family member or close friend to a nursing home can have and I feel privileged to guide our clients through this complex process.

Bonnie Smith

Case Processor

I am originally from Michigan but moved to Florida and the Tampa Bay area at a young age.  I’ve been assisting families with Medicaid filing since 2010 and also worked as a social services assistant in a skilled nursing facility.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 32 years and our dog Edward.  My hobbies include travelling, reading, going to the movies and enjoying good food.  I joined the American Senior Financial team in 2020 and hope to be here for many years to come.
